“Pantheon imagines a present-day in which Rome has never fallen and extends from the Mediterranean,
to Northern and Central Europe, and across the Americas.
It is the year MMDCCLXX since the foundation of the city (to Christians, it is 2017, to Jews 5778, to
Muslims 1438). Latin is the official language and the lingua franca across the present-day Roman state.
Like many leading fashion houses, Pantheon Vestimenta is headquartered in Rome, and
maintains branches in Berlin, Byzantium, Cologne and New York. The house observes the common
practice of referencing figures from Roman religion and history in its designs.” - Marc Erwin Babej
Rather than complex draped garments to suggest Ancient Rome, the designs for Pantheon took the point of view that the lack of patterning in antiquity was a choice and, therefore, to be respected. By using modern stretch fabric cut only in the simplest of shapes as was the custom in Ancient Rome, all these looks were achieved.
